Generator’s and RCD protection

Having your Generator correctly wired is critical to your safety, most generators
are not correctly wired for use with a Residual Current Device or RCD. These

Auto Air conditioning

Regas or service? Whats the difference??

Any properly licensed shop can regas your cars A/C.  But what if it doesn’t work as well as it should?

This can lead to increased wear and fuel consumption.

Thats why we would prefer to do a proper A/C service and not just a regas. Why? Well there are hoses and belts that need to be checked, there are filters that need to be checked and some must be replaced by law.

So when we do an Air conditioning service we do more than just regas. We check belts, hoses, fan operation and we replace filters that need replacing, we also disinfect the evaporator. The evaporator is the bit that makes that terrible “old sock” smell and it needs attention as well to kill the mould, spores and fungus that can cause respitory problems in the young, old and those that suffer asthma.

TIP: Use your vents on fresh air and not recycled air to reduce odour, this also expels the hot air from the car more quickly

So when your Cars A/C is not real cold, call us for a service.

thorough knowledge of 12 volt, 24 volt and 240 volt electrical.

Coffs Harbour Auto Electrical is situated right on the Pacific Hwy in Coffs
Harbour. We have off highway parking at the rear, and are able to provide most
services onsite anywhere from Macksville to Grafton.

At our woolgoolga shop we have an enormous area for vans and motorhomes, drive in and drive out.

Electric Brakes

We have found over the years that brake controllers without a pendulum or inertia
sensor are most suited for off-road applications all other caravan electric brake
systems should use a device that incorporates an inertia sensor. We stock all
Tekonsha brake controllers and the complete range of Redarc electronic brake
controllers and have equipment to test and diagnose problems with electric brakes.

240 Volt Inverter

Make sure you size your inverter properly for the loads you intend to use. Too small and it will over load, too big and it will not run efficiently. Good quality inverters are most efficient at around 80-90% of their rating continuous capacity.

NOTE: Always fit a Residual Current Device (RCD) this protects you incase of a faulty appliance or wiring,  we do on every job!

We have Enerdrive and Projector inverters in stock and can fit them for you, and we install Magnsine and Selectronic for larger or commercial applications.
