Regas or service? Whats the difference??
Any properly licensed shop can regas your cars A/C. But what if it doesn’t work as well as it should?
This can lead to increased wear and fuel consumption.
Thats why we would prefer to do a proper A/C service and not just a regas. Why? Well there are hoses and belts that need to be checked, there are filters that need to be checked and some must be replaced by law.
So when we do an Air conditioning service we do more than just regas. We check belts, hoses, fan operation and we replace filters that need replacing, we also disinfect the evaporator. The evaporator is the bit that makes that terrible “old sock” smell and it needs attention as well to kill the mould, spores and fungus that can cause respitory problems in the young, old and those that suffer asthma.
TIP: Use your vents on fresh air and not recycled air to reduce odour, this also expels the hot air from the car more quickly
